The Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Charity Foundation was established in 2022 by Rev. Fr. Dr. Godwin Ukatu and Mrs. Nneka Ezeafulukwe (née Ukatu)—siblings united by a lifelong passion for serving the less privileged, especially children, the elderly, orphans, and widows. Their journey in charitable work began early through the junior presidium of the Legion of Mary, where they developed a deep-rooted sense of compassion and commitment to uplifting the poor and marginalized. Rev. Fr. Anthony Ibekwe is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Awka, known for his spiritual leadership and involvement in community development. He brings pastoral care and ethical guidance to the Foundation’s mission. Fr. Ibekwe’s long-standing commitment to social justice and the welfare of the vulnerable enriches the Foundation’s outreach programs, particularly in underserved parishes and rural communities.
Rev. Fr. JohnPaul Chukwuelobe is a devoted Catholic priest of the Diocese of Awka, whose deep commitment to evangelization and humanitarian service continues to impact lives across communities. With a pastoral heart and a strong academic and spiritual foundation, Fr. JohnPaul joined the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Charity Foundation to help expand its outreach and deepen its spiritual mission. His role focuses on community engagement, faith-driven service, and supporting the Foundation’s goal of serving God through humanity.
Dr. Chinenye MaryQueen Uju is a distinguished consultant paediatrician serving at both the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital and Regina Caeli Hospital in Awka. With a strong professional foundation in medicine and a deep commitment to humanitarian service, she plays a vital role in guiding the Foundation’s health-related programs. Her clinical expertise ensures that the Foundation’s medical and wellness initiatives are not only effective but also ethical and aligned with the real needs of vulnerable communities. A firm believer in holistic empowerment, Dr. Chinenye champions the idea that true transformation begins with health, dignity, and compassion.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Godwin Ukatu is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Awka, currently serving in the Diocese of Basel, Switzerland. With a lifelong passion for spiritual leadership and humanitarian service, he has dedicated his ministry to uplifting the poor and marginalized. His early experiences and deep commitment to social justice inspired the co-founding of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Charity Foundation—a platform grounded in transparency, collaboration, and a mission to serve the most vulnerable. Fr. Godwin’s pastoral and academic journey across Nigeria, Italy, Germany, France, the United States, and Switzerland has given him a broad, global perspective that continues to shape the Foundation’s vision and outreach.
Nneka Ezeafulukwe is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist whose heart for service has been evident since childhood. As the Director of Archmiragael Nigerian Limited, she brings leadership, structure, and operational experience to the Foundation. Alongside her brother, she co-founded the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Charity Foundation out of a deep desire to create sustainable change in the lives of widows, orphans, and the elderly. Her passion for uplifting others continues to drive the Foundation’s community-based programs.
